A fresh design, content that's relevant, navigation that's simple and intuitive, and solid programming are the foundation of any great web site. But details matter, like style sheets that work across all browsers and platforms, code that's clean and clear, and consistency from page to page. This is what concerns me most as an experienced web professional: Seeing the big picture but never forgetting the details.

Over the years I've (happily) worn a variety of hats and my toolbox reflects this:
Macromedia Homesite, Fireworks, Freehand, and Flash; Adobe Photoshop, ImageReady and Illustrator. I detest WYSIWYG editors because coding by hand is, bottom line, the right way to do it.
